Some projects start as a small remodel and eventually turn into a spacious new kitchen addition with a great outdoor space! This lovely historic house in the 12 South Neighborhood had a very small 9’x12’ existing kitchen with a bathroom at the end of the central hallway. Relocating the bathroom and opening up up the hallway pulls people through the house into a new kitchen perfect for entertaining that opens up to the backyard and a screened porch. Awkward space that used to be the eat in kitchen now serves as a hall bath, laundry and work space, and walk-in pantry. The owners were selective and chose great finishes and fixtures that compliment the historic nature of the house as well as the new spaces.
